"Hot Roll" Not Your Mama's Comal
Add Beauty and Function To Your Kitchen

If you grew up in the Southwest you probably remember the smell of freshly made tortillas and couldn't wait to slather on the butter. In New Mexico, like many other states in the Southwest, tortillas are considered part of the most quintessential comfort foods. Without them we would not have tacos, enchiladas or burritos.
For this artistic piece we decided to combine beauty with function, yet again, so you could display your "comal" (griddle) in your kitchen as part of your decor as well as using it as often (or as little ;)) as you'd like to make this tasty necessity for Mexican/New Mexican cuisine.
Choose from several designs!
This series of comales measure 9 1/2 " in diameter and are made of 3/16" hot roll steel. All of our products are designed and hand finished and signed by award-winning artist Gil Romero.
Surface will become uniform upon curing with lard or oil over heat.
